Why use Thinking Dice? Differentiate thinking skills

The ability to differentiate learning throughout the class to meet the individual learner’s needs is essential in education. However, if you were to ask the average teacher with their huge daily workload, “How do you differentiate you children’s thinking?” they might turn a little pale! J

If a teacher is working with a lower ability child or group then the Yellow, orange and red dice would be used first and only when pupils can use these dice confidently on a topic, would the teacher then introduce the higher order thinking dice of Green blue and purple.
